We hope you will join us and supply local students with the supplies they need for a successful school year.

Who will get these backpacks and school supplies?

We are partnering with Walk the Walk Foundation who is preparing to fill 1,000 backpacks with school supplies.  Walk the Walk Foundation's "Backpacks for Kids" partnership is with Anne Arundel County Elementary Schools and the recipients are identified through the county's social services program.

How is this Drive Different?

It’s a little easier on you! You don’t have to order supplies and a backpack.  Since Walk the Walk Foundation can purchase the school supplies for a much lower cost in bulk, they purchase the supplies upfront, and then we fill the backpacks! For $30 they can purchase one backpack and all the necessary school supplies. You can still get the hands-on experience of filling the backpack without going to the store! ​  

When do we fill the backpacks?

We’d love to have you join us on August 10th from 6-8pm at the Linstead Beach in Severna Park to fill the backpacks. We’ll treat you to a Go-Melvo Sno-Ball after you a fill a backpack. If you can't make the event you can still donate and we'll fill the backpack for you that evening. 

What's our goal?

Our goal is to contribute 25 backpacks - that means we are committing to raising at least $750 and we’d be over the moon to contribute 50 backpacks which means we will raise $1,500.
